Gold-Vit® D3 Baby - a dietary food for special medical purposes. The preparation contains vitamin D, necessary for proper growth and development of children's bones and mineralisation of teeth. Furthermore, vitamin D helps to maintain an adequate level of calcium in the bloodstream and promotes proper absorption/use of calcium and phosphorus.
The quantities of vitamin D produced as a result of endogenous synthesis are subjected to considerable fluctuations depending on the exposure to sunlight; therefore, its supply is limited, in particular in autumn and winter.
Epidemiological research shows that the deficiency of vitamin D is common both in Poland and in other Central European countries. In accordance with the Experts' recommendations, vitamin D should be administered from the first days of life, regardless of the feeding regime of the newborn (breast milk, modified milk)*. The Gold-Vit® D3 Baby preparation ensures that the child's demand for vitamin D in accordance with such guidelines is fully satisfied.
