The Research-and-Development Centre
The newly commissioned Research-and-Development Centre is equipped with state-of-the-art research equipment and high-quality technical instruments used in manufacturing, on both the laboratory and the semi-industrial scales.
Our laboratories and workshops are equipped with state-of-the-art research instruments, including UPLC high-performance liquid chromatographs, an LC-MS/MS liquid chromatograph based on Tandem Mass Spectrometry, a GC gas chromatograph with FID, ECD, and FPD detectors, a GC-MS/MS gas chromatograph based on Tandem Mass Spectrometry, an IPC atomic-emission spectrophotometer, an NIR spectrophotometer, an analyser of amino acids, a PCR machine, and equipment which analyses dosage forms.
The following state-of-the-art laboratories and workshops are part of the Research-and-Development Centre:
- Instrumental Analysis
- Chemical Analysis
- Micro-biology
- Tissue Analysis
- Molecular modelling
- Cardiac-stress tests
- Sensory analysis
- Formulation analysis on the laboratory and semi-industrial scales
The laboratories and workshops are located within an area of 7,200m².
The Centre facilitates manufacturing pilot products intended for clinical tests and stability tests, which make it possible to verify whether the assumptions adopted at the research-and-development stage could be transferred to the production stage.
The academic activities of the Research and Development Centre.
Academic activities are an important objective for the research work performed at the Centre, which is primarily aimed at pharmacy, dietetics, and physiology. The Centre facilitates within its premises the organising of lectures, exercises, laboratories, and working on students’ diploma theses. It can also be used to carry out research work, both in Poland and abroad, in cooperation with various research and scientific bodies. One of the additional activities performed by the Centre is providing research-and-consulting services for external bodies, and conducting joint research projects.
The Centre is also a promoter of knowledge about conscious and healthy-eating habits. To that end, it has established cooperation with important academic centres, both in Poland and abroad.
The innovation-oriented designing and manufacturing, as well as the permanent verification of the quality of new products, and the educational activities carried out at the Research-and-Development Centre, are a necessary pre-condition for developing and improving the efficiency of supplementation, while at the same time helping to successfully fight the diseases of the 21st Century.
