The Smart Logistics Centre
In the years 2013-2015, Olimp Laboratories was a strategic investor responsible for carrying out an investment under the name “The Smart Logistics Centre” as a Nutrifarm subsidiary, acting as part of the group of companies.
The process of creating the Centre was based on innovative storage and logistical methods, while the entire concept took advantage of our own inventions and patent applications. The implemented solutions were unprecedented in the broadly-defined pharmaceutical industry.
The solutions took into consideration new trends in the development and challenges which the global market would soon face, and particular attention was paid to the necessity for maintaining full control over the quality of its processed products and protecting Clients against forged products, and also to the correctness and efficiency of the supply-and-distribution chain. As a result of the completed project, it was possible to implement a unique logistical service on an industrial scale.
The current Smart Logistics Centre comprises the following components:
- An automated high-storage warehouse, 32m (SILO), utilising an independent rack-type structure for 12,000 pallets operated by three automated storage and retrieval machines, including a system of pallet conveyors
- A Mini-Load warehouse, in which pallets have been replaced by 11,000 Eurobox containers filled with bulk and unit packages, and supplied with four (4) storage and retrieval machines. This unique warehouse is powered automatically by a depalletisation robot, which receives a pallet and then transfers products loaded on the pallet into plastic containers.
